We believe in owning individual stocks and are classically trained in evaluating and managing them. We favor the ability to offer more control over capital gains and losses, and, because of our long holding period, we consider them a cost efficient option.
The core of our portfolio is made up of companies from the Wells Fargo Advisors Diversified Stock Income Plan (DSIP), which includes companies that pay reasonable dividends, have raised them regularly, and have a strong, growing cash flow to fund dividend increases.
In addition, we buy companies that may not necessarily pay dividends, but are undervalued in our estimation relative to peers and/or may be growing faster than the rest of the economy.
Exposure to other asset classes, such as international, emerging, small cap and bond markets, is achieved through the various investments offered through Wells Fargo Advisors.
Developing an investment discipline is essential to long-term success.
Saving and investing takes a lifetime. We are interested in long-term relationships with investors beginning at their own starting point. We help them get on track and guide them throughout their lives.
Market timing is a futile exercise. It is next to impossible to correctly time the market by jumping in and out. We buy and hold, make tactical changes only as the world and markets change.
